How to wait out a blizzard:
Brew strong coffee,
French press, because you've got time.
Read four chapters of the biography you've been nibbling on.
Eat leftover pasta, with broccoli and olives.
Watch the snow fly sideways. Sit in your second-story window and see the flakes rush by like a million minnows.
Listen to the public radio newscast. Top story: it's a blizzard out there.
Confirm their reporting by looking out the window. Yep.
Read the Washington Post, online. See the National Weather Service warning: " LIFE THREATENING BLIZZARD CONDITIONS HAVE DEVELOPED RAPIDLY ACROSS THE BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON REGION THIS MORNING."
Watch your wife sleep.
Turn on the heat. Sit on a radiator and feel the warmth.
Just want to say what a great article you got here! Stopping by your writings helped me to get what I was hunt for.
